The National eLearning Center (NeLC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the General Directorate of Prisons on Monday, 27 April 2026, at the Center’s headquarters in Riyadh, aimed at enabling the Directorate to leverage shared digital educational resources through FutureX.
The MoU was signed on behalf of NeLC by His Excellency the Director General, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Waleedi, while the General Directorate of Prisons was represented by His Excellency Major General Dr. Fahd bin Mutlaq Al-Osaimi.
The MoU includes granting the Directorate access to shared digital educational resources such as: A repository of reusable eLearning content, open educational resources, subscriptions to local and international courses and microsites, issuance of digital credentials, as well as eLearning AI tools. FutureX has already served more than 3.5 million beneficiaries across diverse institutions and sectors.
This reflects NeLC’s ongoing efforts to build strategic partnerships with national institutions, expanding opportunities for eLearning and training, and fostering an agile, integrated ecosystem capable of meeting the evolving demands of both local and global labor markets.
