The National eLearning Center (NeLC) and Asir Development Authority (ASDA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today in Riyadh, to enable the authority to benefit from the shared resources available through the National eLearning Platform, FutureX. The shared resources aim to enhance the exchange of resources among various institutions, to accelerate the adoption of eLearning across different sectors.
During the signing of MoU, NeLC was represented by Dr. Hajar bin Asfour, Deputy Director General for Empowerment, while ASDA was represented by Dr. Amr AlAmri, Deputy CEO for Operations.
The collaboration outlined in the MoU includes granting ASDA access to shared resources through FutureX, such as: the Reusable eLearning Content Repository, Open Educational Resources (OER), subscriptions to local and international courses, and Microsites. Additionally, the MoU includes access to services such as: Guidance, learning analytics, issuance of digital certificates, and AI-powered eLearning tools.
Notably, this MoU is part of NeLC’s ongoing efforts to foster cooperation and integration among institutions, sectors, and interdisciplinary, while accelerating, orchestrating, and regulating the development of a flexible and responsive shared learning ecosystem to meet evolving needs.
