On Tuesday, August 13, 2025, the National eLearning Center (NeLC) presented the success story of the AI SandboX in Digital Learning during the Digital Learning: Towards a Smarter Learning Experience event, held in collaboration with Digital Saudi and the Innovation Center at the Digital Government Authority (DGA).
The AI SandboX offers a safe and flexible environment for developers, practitioners, and institutions to experiment and develop AI-driven solutions, fostering innovation and advancing practices in digital learning.
The event showcased the potential of AI in improving the quality of digital learning and presented its key applications in the education sector. It also addressed the main AI enablers used in digital learning, as well as the challenges associated with integrating AI in learning environments. The event witnessed the participation of 47 beneficiaries from 19 government institutions.
NeLC also recently published the AI and Digital Learning: A Transformative Perspective and Roadmap, as part of its efforts to support innovation and adoption of emerging technologies in eLearning. This enhances the utilization of AI in education across the Kingdom. The initiative comes within NeLC’s ongoing efforts to foster innovation in the eLearning and training sector, and to strengthen cross-disciplinary and cross-sector collaboration, contributing to achieve the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.
