The National eLearning Center has organized a webinar titled: "AI Competencies for Educators: Evolving from Literacy into Responsible Practice” On Monday, July 14th 2025 AD, with the participation of several local and international experts.
The webinar aims to highlight AI competencies among instructors, faculty members, trainers, policymakers, and educational leaders. It offers both conceptual insights and practical approaches, exploring educational, technical, and ethical aspects through engaging discussions with a panel of experts and practitioners.
It addressed several topics, such as: Developing a functional understanding of AI technologies and their mechanisms within different educational contexts, enhancing the integration of intelligent analysis tools with assessment processes to support learning and improve outcomes, instilling concepts of integrity and responsibility in the use of educational data, and enabling educators to build professional pathways in AI by leveraging their educational and digital competencies.
The webinar is part of NeLC’s efforts to ensure highly skilled and competence eLearning practitioners in the Kingdom, and to accelerate the adoption of eLearning. It is worth noting that NeLC is concerned with regulating and governing eLearning and training in the Kingdom by ensuring its quality, enhancing trust in it, and enabling integration among various governmental, private, and non-profit institutions.
