The Board of Directors of the National eLearning Center (NeLC) chaired by His Excellency the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, convened its 17th meeting with the presence of esteemed members of the Board.
During the meeting, several decisions and recommendations were approved, including the adoption of the eLearning Regulations in the Kingdom and the cancellation of licenses for institutions across various sectors. This aims to facilitate the journey of investors and institutions wishing to provide eLearning and training services. Additionally, the cost of program license has been reduced by approximately 65%, in coordination with the Saudi Business Center. The Board also approved the exemption of non-profit institutions from license fees for eLearning and training programs that are offered free of charge, in coordination with the National Center for Nonprofit Sector. This move is expected to serve as a significant enabler for the nonprofit sector in the Kingdom and represents a step forward toward advancing digital transformation in eLearning and training within the sector.
Moreover, the Board addressed policies related to NeLC’s governance regulations, and approved the compliance and risk policies, as well as business continuity plan. The meeting also reviewed NeLC's key achievements during the current year and monitored progress on strategic performance indicators.
