The Director General of the National eLearning Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Walidi, stressed that “MicroX” initiative is one of the initiatives of the Human Capability Development Program, a key program of Saudi Vision 2030, implemented by NeLC. It opens new horizons in developing and empowering national competencies professionally in various sectors, in line with the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and developing human capital.
The Director General of NeLC stated: The initiative represents a transformative step in the eLearning sector, with 350 microprograms offered by more than 20 Saudi universities through FutureX. It contributes to building a qualified citizen with abilities and skills related to the needs of the labor market. It provides learners with flexible and interactive learning opportunities from anywhere and at any time in order to enhance their optimal use.
Dr. Al-Walidi added: The programs are recognized by institutions. They were developed in coordination and alignment with different sectors and designed according to the needs of institutions and sectors. They will also promote integration and the shared economy by building strategic partnerships with more than 200 strategic partners, local and international universities, academic institutions and employers. This will provide various learning opportunities to meet future demands in different fields, such as innovation, entrepreneurship, digital health, artificial intelligence, transport, logistics, manufacturing, culture and entertainment.
The Director General of NeLC concluded his speech by expressing his gratitude to the wise leadership, for their attention and generous care to the eLearning sector. He also extended his thanks to His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Directors of NeLC Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan for his unwavering support and continuous follow-up to NeLC's work, programs and plans.
