The National eLearning Center (NELC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) to enhance collaboration between the two parties in the fields of education, training, science, and technology. The agreement aligns with the strategic objectives of both organizations and leverages educational and communication technologies to develop human capabilities through eLearning and training.
The agreement aims to coordinate efforts between the two entities in several key areas, including fostering innovation, encouraging creativity, and enabling digital transformation in education and training. This will be achieved through the national eLearning platform, FutureX, accelerating the adoption of digital education as a mainstream model and a key enabler of the digital economy. The agreement also grants DCO member states access to the FutureX platform, marking the first international collaboration to extend the platform’s reach beyond Saudi Arabia.
The MoU was signed at the headquarters of the National eLearning Center in Riyadh in the presence of Dr. Hajar Salman bin Asfoor, Deputy Director General of the NELC for the Enablement Sector, and Mr. Hassan Nasser, Chief of Cabinet at the DCO.
This agreement is part of the NELC’s efforts to regulate and govern eLearning and training in Saudi Arabia, ensuring adherence to best practices, building trust in eLearning, fostering integration among various stakeholders, driving innovation in the sector, and developing and measuring eLearning performance indicators.
