NeLC Launches ‘’MicroX’’, One of the Human Capability Development Program Initiatives

Today, The National eLearning Center (NeLC) launched the MicroX initiative, one of the initiatives of the Human Capability Development Program and a key program of Saudi Vision 2030. The initiative aims to equip individuals with skills that align with the rapid changes in the labor market, developing national competencies and enhancing their capabilities in order to increase the competitiveness of Saudi citizens globally.


The MicroX initiative, implemented by NeLC, aims to offer 350  microprograms through FutureX.  These programs will be delivered by Saudi universities, aligned with the needs and demands of the Saudi labor market, ensuring they keep pace with rapid changes.


The initiative targets university students, job seekers and employees, in an effort to equip them with skills by providing them with expertise. The programs are developed in coordination with various sectors and designed based on the specific needs of institutions and sectors. It will also promote integration and shared economy through strategic partnerships with more than 200 strategic partners, local and international universities, academic institutions and employers. It will offer diverse learning opportunities to meet the future demands in different fields such as innovation, entrepreneurship, digital health, artificial intelligence, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, culture and entertainment.


The programs offer several advantages, such as flexibility. Each program is customizable, to enable learners to choose their learning  journey according to professional requirements. These programs are short and meet the demands of the labor market, closely aligned with sectoral changes, and fully digital to ensure accessibility and support seamless and flexible learning experiences. They are also focus on vital and specialized sectors that contribute to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, such as: Healthcare, energy, information technology, tourism and hospitality, culture and entertainment, industry and mineral resources, construction, real estate, and other sectors. 


MicroX initiative reflects the wise leadership's commitment in developing human capital and enhancing the capabilities of Saudi citizens in order to achieve one of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, to increase the competitiveness of Saudi citizens globally.
