The National eLearning Center signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Center for Non-Profit Sector to support cooperation between the two parties in eLearning and human capability development in the non-profit sector. The MoU was signed by the Director General of the National eLearning Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammad Alwalidi, and the CEO of the National Center for Non-Profit Sector, Mr. Ahmed bin Ali Alsuwailem.
The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation between the two parties in several areas, such as cooperation in developing and approving specialized content for the non-profit sector based on the NeLC standards, including the non-profit sector to the target groups in the eLearning Innovation Award and qualifying the National Center for Non-Profit Sector’s staff in eLearning through conducting workshops on professional certificates and linking with training providers. The MoU also discussed integration, technical integration, cooperation in studies to provide and exchange data and information of common interest and adding learning materials about the non-profit sector in the National Program for Open Educational Resources to enhance, enrich and raise awareness about reliable content on the importance of the non-profit sector and its role in developmental fields.
This MoU comes as part of the NeLC’s efforts to enhance cooperation with the relevant institutions in many national initiatives related to eLearning and to discuss ways to benefit from them.
