The National eLearning Center signed a memorandum of understanding with Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University during “Nourah Partners Exhibition” at the university’s conference center. The memorandum allows the University to join “Makken Initiative” for the Professional Certificates Program in eLearning. The memorandum was signed by H.E. the Rector of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University Prof. Einas bint Suleiman Aleisa and the Director-General of the National eLearning Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammad AlWalidi.
This memorandum aims to enhance the cooperation between the two parties in Professional Certificates Program in eLearning developed by Center for professional development through “Makken Initiative” that is targeting students enrolled in eLearning programs to help them obtain professional certificates (foundation level) after graduation. This is to enhance human capability development in accordance with the rapidly changing labor market demands, contribute to developing students’ knowledge and skills to achieve performance excellence, increase quality and enhance trust in eLearning practices.
Noteworthy, the Center has participated in the exhibition to introduce its services and initiatives; promote the efforts made in the development and quality assurance of the eLearning in the Kingdom; and highlights its role in supervising numerous international studies that contributed to identifying the challenges and improvement opportunities of the educational system especially in the field of eLearning as a strategic choice for the future. The Center has also showcased its effective roles in human capability development through the National eLearning Platform “FutureX”, the National Program for Open Educational Resources (OER) and ASAS Initiative.
