The Board of Directors of the National eLearning Center (NeLC) held its 20th meeting on Monday, November 10, 2025, chaired by His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, in the presence of the board members.
The Board reviewed the agenda, including a presentation on the National Digital Learning Indicator (2024-2025) and approved its results. The Board also discussed the authorization granted by the Council of Ministers to the Minister of Education, as Chairman of NeLC's Board, or his designee, to hold discussions with the South Korean side regarding a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in eLearning between NeLC and the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS), and to sign it.
The Board praised the National eLearning Platform (FutureX) for winning the “Best Initiative for Building Government Capabilities” award as part of the GCC Digital Government Awards 2025, as well as the National Open Educational Resources Platform (OERx) for receiving the “Excellence in Open Education” award from the Open Education Global (OE Global) organization, reaffirming the Kingdom’s leading position in digital transformation and open education.
This meeting comes as part of the Board’s ongoing efforts to monitor NeLC’s progress toward achieving its strategic objectives and to strengthen the eLearning and training ecosystem in the Kingdom, thereby contributing to enhancing the quality and impact of eLearning and Training.
