The National eLearning Center organized a forum entitled "Creativity and Innovation in Digital Learning" on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at its headquarters in Riyadh, with the participation of more than 200 government institutions and universities as partners of the National eLearning Platform FutureX.
The forum aims to discuss the impact of activating shared digital resources to achieve excellence in eLearning and its effect on spending efficiency, in addition to reviewing creative practices and their impact on supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 for developing the digital learning ecosystem. The forum addressed the latest innovative digital enablers provided by FutureX, the government- shared resource approved by the Digital Government Authority for success partners.
The partners discussed the main opportunities and challenges facing government institutions in activating shared digital resources; which leads to maximizing the achieved value and its reflection on the skills of government employees. In addition, a workshop was held entitled: "The Reality and Ambition of Learning Management Systems in Government Institutions," aimed at highlighting the importance of developing these systems and their integration withFutureX.
The forum included an opening session presented by a representative of the Digital Government Authority, which provided a comprehensive introduction to shared government resources and their impact on enhancing spending efficiency. The second session featured a review of successful experiences from several government and academic institutions in the fields of digital learning and training, as well as the development of human capabilities.
In her opening speech, the Deputy Director General for Empowerment, Dr. Hajar bin Asfour emphasized the importance of the forum in enhancing integration and cooperation among government institutions in elearning, pointing out that FutureX represents a major breakthrough in enabling institutions to develop the skills and capabilities of their employees by providing services and initiatives that achieve integration in the system through local and global partnerships.
It is worth noting that NeLC is working to enhance the role of eLearning in achieving digital transformation in the Kingdom, and to encourage innovation and creativity in the industry. The organization of this forum came through the combined efforts of successful partners from various sectors.
