The National eLearning Center signed a memorandum of understanding with Jouf University for the Professional Certificate Program in eLearning and training. The University comes as the tenth partner in the “Makken” initiative, in the presence the Director General of the National eLearning Center Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammad Alwalidi and the President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammad bin Abdullah Alshaya.
The memorandum aims to enhance areas of cooperation in the Professional Certificate Program offered by the Center through “Makken” initiative for university students enrolled in academic programs in eLearning, to enable them to obtain Professional Certificates (foundation level) after graduation.
This is to support university graduates by improving their knowledge and developing their skills and capabilities, to achieve excellence in performance, improve quality, and enhance confidence in eLearning practices.
Dr. Alwalidi confirmed that this partnership with Jouf University aims to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the fields of eLearning and professional development for university students enrolled in eLearning programs in the Kingdom, to enable them to obtain professional certificates, and to contribute to the development of their capabilities and professional skills to keep pace with the rapidly changing labor market needs.
Prof. Alshaya stated that this memorandum is a part of the joint cooperation between the two parties to exchange experiences and knowledge in the field of eLearning, which represents the university’s efforts to develop the learning process and develop skills and knowledge for students and university employees, and to align this with the Human Capability Development Program in the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
It is noteworthy that this is the tenth memorandum that the Center concludes with universities within the "Makken" initiative. Jouf University joins with: Najran University, Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, University of Jeddah, University of Hail, King Khalid University, Qassim University, Jazan University, University of Bisha and Northern Border University.
