NeLC Center Signs Three Memorandums of Understanding

The National eLearning Center signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Tourism, the Saudi Electronic University, and the National Institute for Educational Professional Development. The agreement comes as a move towards integration with the three institutions to improve the eLearning and training sector in the Kingdom.

In that connection, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Center and the Ministry of Tourism in the presence of His Excellency the Director General theCenter, Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Walidi, and the Director General of the Localization of Tourism Jobs, Mr. Bandar bin Muhammad Al-Safeer. The memorandum stated areas of support and cooperation associated with the National eLearning Platform for training the human resources in the tourism sector. In addition to supporting the Ministry of Tourism with studies, research, and human competencies to enable transformation into eLearning and ensure its quality, as well as enhancing the quality of the learning platform experience and qualifying them for obtaining eLearning licenses, and to launch initiatives that would improve reliable learning content and contribute to raising awareness.

In the spirit of consolidating cooperation with the partners in the eLearning ecosystem, the Center signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Electronic University in the presence of the president of the university, Prof. Lilac bint Ahmed Al-Safadi. The agreement aims to achieve integration in the studies and research that contribute to controlling the quality of eLearning and exchanging data, and jointly launching initiatives that enhance learning content on the National eLearning platform. Also, the agreement aims to leveraging the experiences of both parties in supporting digital transformation to enhance utilizing eLearning and its technologies, cooperating in the development of creative eContent, and working on controlling the quality of eLearning by sharing standards and evidence for quality control, as well as linking the eLearning and training platforms of the two parties.

To achieve the learning objectives, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Center and the National Institute for Educational Professional Development in the presence of His Excellency the President of the National Institute for Educational Professional Development, Prof. Ahmed bin Abdulrahman Al-Juhaimi. The memorandum aims to work on quality control and enhance the culture of eLearning in the K12 sector by sharing standards and evidence for quality control. In addition to contributing to enhancing learning content and qualifying education practitioners through the National eLearning Platform, as well as raising the level of professional educational practices by providing support to the Institute’s competencies with professional certificates.

It is worth noting that the Center is keen to build strategic partnerships with various institutions to provide trusted and high-quality eLearning that is compatible with the best standards, to build a competative citizen with capabilities and skills related to the labor market to achieve national goals.
