The National eLearning Center signs a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Council of Engineers

The National eLearning Center signs a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Council of Engineers, to supporting the eLearning system in the engineering field.

 The memorandum was signed by the Director-General of the National eLearning Center Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Alwalidi and the Secretary-General of the Saudi Council of Engineers, Eng. Abdulnasser Saif Al-Abdullatef.

Dr. Alwalidi stated that The Center seeks, through these memorandums, to achieve integration with various institutions to provide trusted online learning for all and in accordance with the best international practices, by developing the capabilities and skills in a form that stimulates development and innovation and ensures sustainability according to well-established and flexible scientific foundations, which would raise the efficiency of human capabilities.

In addition, this cooperation with the Council, aims to provide a number of quality services that contribute to the empowerment and refinement of engineering cadres through eLearning and professional development, and to provide access and benefit from the services of the National eLearning platform “FutureX” in accordance with a governance that guarantees quality, equal opportunities, improving learner experience, and maximizing benefit from all the possibilities available between the two parties.

Eng. Al-Abdullatif said that this memorandum aims to achieve many goals related to licensing and applying the necessary engineering eLearning standards towards meeting the requirements and needs of the labor market, in addition to preparing joint training programs through FutureX, which would empower specialists in the field of eLearning. In addition to quality training programs in various engineering disciplines and the exchange of studies, experiences and results on the future of eLearning in engineering and technical pathways to reach the goals of sustainable development in this field.

The memorandum stresses the enhancement of the quality of the practice of eLearning towards engineers and students of engineering programs in the Kingdom, which contributes to raising the level of technical and professional capabilities and equipping them with skills to provide them with opportunities, which is positively reflected on the level of the engineering sector and its workers. The SCE also looks forward to strengthening and integrating efforts with the relevant institutions to serve the strategic directions in supporting the eLearning content to enhance confidence in its outcomes to be a developed and attractive learning environment for beneficiaries, including individuals and engineering companies.
