A Strategic Partnership with "Udacity" to Provide Programs through FutureX

The National eLearning Center and Udacity platform signed a strategic partnership agreement to provide 80 (Nanodegree) through the National eLearning Platform “FutureX” within the framework of integration with local and global platforms to enable various institutions to access high quality learning and training programs that meet with the labor market needs.

That many local and globale platforms are integrated with FutureX to provide high quality programs, including the Coursera, edx, Eithrai, and kkux.

FutureX platform is one of the Center’s initiatives that aims to govern and regulate the eLearning sector through an integrated  ecosystem that provides learning and training pathways that meet the labor market needs and skills development, in addition, FutureX provides learning progress data for learners, and documents certificates issued by local and global platforms to be an added value for learners in their careers.

The Deputy of Director General of the National eLearning Center for Partnerships and Investment, Dr. Bandar Al-Amer stressed the importance of this partnership with the Udacity, adding that FutureX is currently working on expanding its partnerships with a group of local and global platforms to access trusted learning opportunities for all.

The Director of Strategic Partnerships at Udacity, Mr. Frank Thomas, said: “This partnership with NeLC, represented in the FutureX, is a great value that its impact can be measured through initiatives to improve digital skills that equip individuals for the labor market, and will allow us to expand the scope of cooperation with NeLC to reach many beneficiaries in the region, and thus achieve many benefits for individuals and institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

NeLC, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, is working to enhance local content in accordance with the best international standards. It is also working on developing regulations and policies to ensure the recognition of all modes of eLearning for inclusion in the curricula and programs.
