The Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National eLearning Center Directs to Form the eLearning International Advisory Committee

The Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National eLearning Center, Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al Al-Sheikh, gave the directions to form the eLearning International Advisory Board aiming at investing global experiences and practices to support and develop eLearning programs and to promote the Center's role in enhancing the quality of eLearning on the national level.

 The advisory committee members include Dr. Fengchun Miao from The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Dr. Andreas Blom from the World Bank, Mr. Andreas Schleicher from Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Dr. Jennifer Mathes from Online Learning Consortium (OLC), Dr. Mark Brown from The National Digital Institute for Learning, the International expert Dr. Paul Lefrere, Dr. Tanya Joosten from National Research Center for Distance Education and Technological Advancements (DETA), and Dr. Deb Adair from Quality Matters (QM) .

The committee will be responsible for providing consultations related to decisions, strategic directions, and future plans. This also involves evaluating these aspects in accordance with international best practices, conducting periodic reviews on eLearning practices and standards, examining the results of studies, periodic reports, and providing recommendations for developing eLearning practices in the Kingdom, in addition to supporting partnerships with distinguished educational organizations globally, and highlighting the Kingdom's presence and achievements in eLearning.
