The National eLearning Center (NELC), based on its mandate to regulate the quality of eLearning in the Kingdom, in pursuit of its continuous efforts to improve the quality of online learning, has developed and published the criteria for excellence in online learning covering design, development, delivery, and practice addressing the needs of the entire ecosystem of eLearning across the sectors of K-12, Higher Education, Training.

These criteria for excellence offers a comprehensive set of indicators that can be used by the K-12, Higher Education, Training, Vocational Education, and Lifelong Learning institutions to develop, measure, and improve the design, development, delivery, and practice, and overall quality of online learning in achieving better learning outcomes.
