Najran University joins “Makken” initiative

The National eLearning Center signs a memorandum of understanding with Najran University for the Professional Certificate in eLearning in the presence the Director-General of the National eLearning Center; Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammad Alwalidi and the President of Najran University, Prof. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Alkhudairy.

The memorandum aims to enhance areas of cooperation in the Professional Certificate Program offered by the Center through “Makken” initiative for university students enrolled in eLearning academic programs, to enable them to obtain Professional Certificates (Foundation level) after graduation.

Dr. Alwalidi confirmed that this partnership with Najran University comes to equip the students with skills required in the labor market, he also commended the universities’ role in improving the quality of eLearning practices in the Kingdom.

Prof. Alshaya stated that joining this initiative helps the University to keep pace with the modern education goals, enhances the universities’ role in equipping the national human capabilities with knowledge and professionalism to meet the labor market needs. Also, the initiative grants our students the Professional Certificates in Online Teaching and Training (Foundation level), as the university is keen to qualify its students to enhance the investment in their competencies in line with the requirements of Vision 2030 to develop human capability.

It is noteworthy that this is the tenth memorandum that the Center concludes with universities within the "Makken" initiative. Najran University joins with: Jouf University, Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, University of Jeddah, University of Hail, King Khalid University, Qassim University, Jazan University, University of Bisha and Northern Border University.
